Silk Faille is a shiny, soft, medium weight fabric with distinct ribs, or ridges, running in the weft direction. It has a glossy shine making it ideal for eveningwear and bridal/wedding, and can also be used for high-end sportswear and home decor. It is similar to grosgrain in look and texture, but is much more versatile and elegant with a silkier and softer handfeel. Although not extremely crisp, Faille holds its shape when draped - it takes well to structure and thus is an ideal fabric suitable for tailoring, pleats, and heavy seaming. This fabric is available in an assortment of colors.
